Question: Did God also possibly take the tree of life from the Garden of Eden to prepare it for the eventual new world described in Revelations 22?
Access to “The tree of life” was “guarded against”; by a “cherubim”; with a “flaming sword” in the Garden of Eden; (Gen. 3:24) to ensure that Eve and Adam would not have life eternal; because of Eve’s sin; followed by Adam! IT WAS NOT REMOVED!
The reference you make to Rev. 22; is in the context of “a new Heaven, and a new Earth” (Rev. 21:1). The tree(s) of life (22:1–3) are fed by “a river of water, proceeding from The Throne of God, and of the Lamb”! The narrative clearly shows that the world has to go through much change prior to “no more Curse”, which was instigated in Eden by God; after the introduction of Sin by Satan; (Gen. 3:1–7)!
The above, are not understood sufficiently by the world’s people; but are profound relative to the understanding of the “conflict” between Satan and Almighty God!
The above also shows that the “preparation” you allude to, is in the resolution of that conflict between God and Satan (via people’s attitudes and decisions re. Christ Jesus); which was the reason for Jesus’ Sacrifice at Calvary!
