Question: What was the impact of the Reformation on Europe?
Acts 4:12; "Neither is there Salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".
Act 28:25-28; “Be it known therefore unto you, that the Salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, “and they will hear it”! (See: Bible Dispensations).
In this present ‘AGE TIME’ (the Age of Grace of Almighty God) the above two verses are crucial to the ability and understanding of people to be able to allocate Scripture to its proper place and time (2Tim. 2:15), see below, and The Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ: This can be summarised as that which now apples to the Body of Christ (the true Church); and that which applies to the Jews.
It has to be said, that wrong teaching all over the world because of the lack of the above mentioned understanding; is causing much heartache and despair!
In context the "Name" referred to in Acts 4:12 is Jesus the Christ! This statement by the Holy Spirit (the 3rd person) in the Bible supports the concepts both of the only way of Salvation, and therefore; Eternal Life, after death! This applies to this present Age, (the Age of Grace).
The 1st Person of the Trinity is shown in many Old Testament (OT), statements of Almighty God, in particular:
Isaiah 45:22: "Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the Earth: for I am GOD, and there is none else".
Here, God (Jehovah of the Jews; the 1st Person), affirms His Unique Status as the only God in existence; and, that He is not to be confused with the many false gods in the world, all originating in the great pretender; SATAN!
This is emphasised in Isa. 45:5; “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no 'God beside Me'”, and many other places in Scripture.
The reason for starting this paper with the above absolute statements, is that many people and Groups are saying the opposite, and, that has been the plan of Satan from the beginning of his demise, when as the "anointed Cherub, Ezk. 28:14, he challenged God; and fell from Grace"!
When Martin Luther challenged the Roman Church, and its teaching, with the above simple statements, summarised in the death and Resurrection of Christ Jesus Messiah; he started the demise of Rome and its power over people and their substance!
Even so, Rome for approx. 300 years, killed, tortured, and persecuted people who would not denounce their trust in Christ Jesus ALONE for salvation! Their methods were savage, burning alive, torture the methods of which overshadowed even Medieval Europe! Some of the ‘Popes’ even had ‘harems’; but still demanded absolute power over the populations.
It is notable that the Eastern Church of Constantinople would not submit to the new teachings and ways of Rome, and in approx. AD1100 separated into what became ‘The Eastern Orthodox Church.
