"Mystery of Iniquity", and God's Spirit!

Question: What is meant by “My spirit will not remain with man forever” at Genesis 6:3?

IMO; it may also refer to the time when “the Restrainer” is removed, prior to the Anti-Christ activity just prior to the Lord’s return to Earth, again outwitting Satan!

The reason for this comment re. Gen. 6:3, is because of the strong 'pointer' to, "as in the days of Noah"; which refers to the similarity of the times (i.e. "lawlessness increasing" etc. Matt. 24:37; Luke 17:26-27, as those of Noah).  That time was plagued with "Nephilim", and Almighty God knew that Satan wanted to negate the Gen. 3:15 promise of a Saviour for the fallen mankind, so He arranged the "flood".

Paul in 2Thessalonians 2:7, describes lawlessness as a "Mystery" that is already at work. Lawlessness is present now, but it will culminate in the deeds of the man of lawlessness.  This truth was hidden until God revealed it through Paul; and until “the Restrainer” is removed; who I believe is the “Comforter” sent by Jesus at His Ascension (i.e. the Holy Spirit), then all the evil One’s actions are held in check!

IMO; this is in part the working out by Almighty God, of the “Mystery of Iniquity”!
