Question: What does it mean in Ephesians 2:15 that “to create in Himself one new man from two”? And what ordinances were abolished in the light of Romans 7:1 in Ephesians 2:15?
It shows and explains that Christ Jesus (1), and the Law (2), because of Christ’s fulfilment of (2), creates “One New Man” (entity); which all may enter into by their own free-will!
Romans 7:12 confirms that God and His Dictates (Law) are Holy, and are confirmed and completed by the Holy Sacrifice of Christ Jesus!
So as Jesus said “think not that I have come to abolish the Law, but that I have come to fulfil it” (Matt. 5:17).
In Jesus’ action, He made it possible for the Jews to accept freedom from their guilt of the Old Testament (Covenant); and to accept the free gift of Salvation in Christ Jesus “as the New Man”, Eph. 2:15!
They refused finally at Acts 28:25–28; and the offer was then made to the Gentiles of the world; which is still the case, and will remain so, until the fulfilment of Romans 11:25–27, after which Romans 9:24–33 will transpire; which will be almost simultaneous with Zech. 12–10!!
