Question: Has anyone in history ever said “The end of the world is near” and meant it?
As a Christian, my personal belief is based on the Bible.
I do not see an “end of the world” statement there; even though Churches big and small do predict that event. So I trust the words of The Word; which show a change in the world order at some stage in the future.
That Bible stated event is called “a change of Dispensation”; which means the world order will change, and the God Ordained control of the world will pass to Christ Jesus; who will arrive on Earth at His Second Advent!
His Rule will last for 1000 years, and much will change during that period!
For the sake of brevity, I will leave those events in this comment at that stage; but suffice to say that is not the “End”, as much more is to happen just after that 1000 year Rule of Christ Jesus!
If the above is wrong, and I have been “self-deluded” (which is not my opinion); then I revert to my schooling days; which states that the world will eventually be engulfed by the Sun, which will consume the whole of the “Local Galaxy”!
