Question: What is the meaning of Psalm 127:1?
The first thing to say is that it must, like all Scripture of the Bible, be placed in the time of operation; called the “Dispensation”!
In this case, it is one of Solomon’s Psalms, so therefore BC!
Gods’ dealings with Israel are not the same as now, which is the “Dispensation of Grace”!
The meaning for Solomon in this Psalm is clear in the first verse, the project/ action (house) must be in the Lords’ (Gods’) Will, or “the labour is in vain”.
In our day AD, especially after Acts 28:25–28, the person would move forward in prayerful trust; as we are now in the “Dispensation” of trust in Christ Jesus; which the Jews finally rejected in AD 62 approx. when the prophecy of Isa. 6:9–10 was enacted by the Apostle Paul!
